What is a SMT application

The SMT applicaton is a short and signed document which informs and the Senior Management Team (SMT) about the action and requests their approval.


When to create the SMT application

The SMT application needs to be created and submitted as soon as work on proposal development starts and one has some basic informaton avaliable.


How to create a SMT application in MIS

The .xls file can be created and downloaded by klicking on the SMT button in your toolbox P SMT ok.PNG

If however there is some information missing, the button will not be clickable. Use your mouse to hover over the button for a second and information on the missing data will be shown.


The following information needs to be entered in order to create the SMT application:

  • Master Data - General and Reporting Levels
  • Donor - here you need to decide if it is a consorttium or a normal action
  • Project Content - Summary
  • Checks Risks - Risks


Additionally the following information must be entered in order for the SMT application to be signed:

  • Transfers - Transfers to/from CARE Austria and CAUT eligible expenses
  • Expenses - Forecast

Once everything is entered correctly, please create the SMT Application .xls file, sign it and submit to your SMT.
